Lithuania's industrial production decreased for the second consecutive month in June, data released by Statistics Lithuania showed Monday.

Industrial production decreased a working-day adjusted 0.4 percent year-on-year in June, marking the second consecutive contraction. The rate of fall was, however, significantly slower than the 14.4 percent fall recorded in May.

Mining and quarrying production fell sharply by 13.6 percent during the month, while manufacturing output moved up 1.2 percent. There was an 18.7 percent annual fall in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply during the month, data showed.

Month-on-month, industrial production increased a seasonally adjusted 18.5 percent during the month, the agency said.
