News

  • U.S. corn futures rose more than 2 pct edging closer to a two-year high reached earlier this month on weak dollar.
  • December delivery corn rose 2.2 pct to $5.72-½ per bushel by 0251 GMT, not far from a two-year high of $5.88 hit on Oct. 13. 
  • CBOT soybeans for November delivery rose 1.5 pct to $12.18 a bushel and December wheat rose 1.4 pct to $6.80-¼ per bushel.
  • Corn has risen nearly 35 pct in the past two months.
  • Soybeans are up 10 pct in October against the backdrop of Chinese demand, while wheat has been largely unchanged this month.
  • The dollar index was down 0.6 pct at 0251 GMT.
