Fast food chain McDonald's has ended a 2-year streak of falling sales on Thursday. The company said sales rose at established U.S. locations during the 3rd-qtr.

McDonald's also said sales at established locations globally rose by 4%. The figure rose 0.9% in the U.S.

The world's largest burger chain is trying to spark a turnaround under CEO Steve Easterbrook, who took over in March.

McDonald's Corp earned $1.31bn, or $1.40 per share, topping the $1.27 per share analysts expected for the quarter.
