In Ireland, average weekly earnings increased by 3.9% year-on-year to EUR 1,046.88 in the second quarter of 2026, based on preliminary estimates. This followed a revised 3.4% annual rise in the previous quarter. Earnings grew in 12 of the 13 economic sectors, with the strongest gains in accommodation and food services (up 7.7%), followed by administrative and support services (up 5.6%).

Average hourly earnings also recorded solid annual growth, rising 3.8% to EUR 31.96, with increases seen across all 13 sectors. Meanwhile, average weekly paid hours inched up by 0.3%, from 32.7 hours in Q2 2025 to 32.8 hours in Q2 2026.
