US antitrust officials have a clear warning against companies that use no-poaching agreements.

Regulators reiterated entities that keep their employees from being hired by their counterparts may face lawsuits. The Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission reiterated they intend to expose unnecessary anti-poaching or wage-fixing tie-up between employers.

They said these collaborations can affect labor markets by slashing salaries and benefits or lowering job opportunities, adding HR personnel need to recognize such violations can result in criminal offenses.

The two government agencies have been tracking down similar deals for the longest time. The DOJ levied law enforcement acts against companies such as Apple and Google. On the other hand, the FTC blasted the Council of Fashion Designers of America for curbing pays and commissions for talents.
