19.02.202609:00:00UTC+00Poland’s Corporate Wage Growth Cools to 6.1% in January, Easing from December Peak

Wage growth in Poland’s corporate sector slowed notably at the start of 2026, with year-over-year earnings rising 6.1% in January, down from 8.6% in December 2025. The latest figures, updated on 19 February 2026, confirm a clear moderation after the strong end-of-year pace.

Both readings are based on year-over-year comparisons, measuring how corporate sector wages in a given month changed relative to the same month a year earlier. While December’s 8.6% increase signaled robust nominal pay pressures, January’s 6.1% suggests some cooling in wage dynamics as the new year began.

The deceleration in corporate wage growth may be closely watched by markets and policymakers, as it has implications for household incomes, corporate cost structures, and the broader inflation outlook in Poland.
